Dr. Burak Güler

Dr. Burak Güler is a specialist in Gynecology & Obstetrics at Acibadem Altunizade Hospital in İstanbul. He has more than ten years in medicine, and his clinical work centers on urogynecology, urinary incontinence and bladder health, menopause, and the treatment of sexual dysfunction, alongside general gynecological and reproductive care for women at different stages of life.

Dr. Güler graduated from Atatürk University Faculty of Medicine in 2016 and completed his specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Zeynep Kamil Women’s and Children’s Diseases Training and Research Hospital in 2022. He subsequently worked at Kars Devlet Hospital from 2022 to 2025 and at İstanbul Aydın University VM Medical Park Hospital in 2023–2024, before joining Acıbadem Healthcare Services in 2025. He has continued to train in his areas of interest: in 2023 he took part as instructor and Secretary General in the ACOGS Labioplasty – Vaginoplasty – Clitoroplasty Advanced Colposcopy Course, and in 2024 he completed Genital Aesthetics Training at the ISGC World Congress of Cosmetics.

Clinical focus

A substantial part of Dr. Güler’s practice concerns the pelvic floor and the lower urinary tract. He assesses and manages urinary incontinence and other bladder health concerns within the framework of urogynecology, where symptoms are evaluated together with a woman’s gynecological and obstetric history. He also sees patients for menopause-related complaints and offers sexual dysfunction treatment, an area in which physical, hormonal, and personal factors are typically considered together before any plan is discussed.

In surgery, Dr. Güler has training in vNOTES scarless surgery, an approach that uses vaginal laparoscopy so that access is gained without abdominal incisions; whether this approach is appropriate depends on the individual case. He also has training in genital aesthetics, including labioplasty, vaginoplasty, clitoroplasty, and vaginal whitening. His broader gynecological work includes HPV, sexually transmitted diseases, menstrual irregularities, and fertility concerns, as well as water birth. Each patient’s suitability for a given treatment is determined after examination and a review of previous findings.

How Dr. Güler works with international patients

Dr. Güler consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who speak other languages. A first consultation typically covers the patient’s history and current symptoms, a review of existing imaging and previous treatments, a clinical examination, and a discussion of the options that may be relevant.
