Dr. Çekdemir graduated from Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 2000 and worked in the Ege University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Medical Histology and Embryology from 2001 to 2002. She completed Internal Medicine at Celal Bayar University Faculty of Medicine in 2007 and Hematology at Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 2011. From 2012 to 2014 she worked at the Ministry of Health, Sakarya University Faculty of Medicine, Training and Research Hospital, Department of Internal Medicine, Department of Hematology, and from 2014 to 2019 at Anadolu Medical Center In Affiliation with Johns Hopkings Medicine, Bone Marrow Transplantation Center. She then worked at Republic of Turkey Ministry of Health, University of Health Sciences, Tepecik Training and Research Hospital (2019–2022) and served as Bone Marrow Transplant Center Director at Republic of Turkey Ministry of Health, University of Health Sciences, Bozyaka Training and Research Hospital (2022–2023), followed by Izmir City Hospital (2023–2024). She is a member of eight professional bodies, including the Turkish Hematology Association, the European Hematology Association, the Hemapheresis Association and the Leukemia Lymphoma Myeloma Patients and Research Society Association.
