Dr. Çamlı’s role is to help select an appropriate examination, to interpret the findings and to communicate them to the referring physicians, so that the imaging results can be placed in the context of the patient’s overall care. The value of any imaging study depends on the clinical situation, and findings are always assessed together with the treating clinical teams.

How Dr. Çamlı works with international patients

Dr. Çamlı speaks Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who speak other languages. Before a visit, the Acibadem international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, for example MRI, CT, X-ray or ultrasound reports, laboratory and pathology results, operative notes and discharge summaries, and arranges appointments and the hospital visit. A first consultation typically covers the patient’s history and symptoms, a review of existing imaging and previous treatments, a clinical examination where relevant and a discussion of the imaging options that may be appropriate. Video consultation is available for international patients, which can be used to review existing imaging or to discuss whether further examinations are advisable before travel. Dr. Çamlı works in close coordination with the clinical departments that request imaging, so that results are integrated into the patient’s wider diagnostic and treatment plan.
