Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emine Karabük

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emine Karabük is a specialist in Gynecology & Obstetrics at Acibadem Atakent Hospital in İstanbul. Her clinical work concentrates on urogynecology, urinary incontinence and bladder health, and menopause. She has more than 21 years in medicine and consults in Turkish and English.

Dr. Karabük graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 2005. From 2005 to 2006 she was a research assistant at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine Department of Radiodiagnostics, and from 2006 to 2011 she worked as a research assistant at Etlik Zübeyde Hanım Gynecology and Obstetrics EAH. She completed her specialty training in 2011 at Ankara Etlik Maternity and Gynecological Diseases Training and Research Hospital Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics. She is a member of the Turkish Gynecological Oncology Association and the Turkish Gynecology and Obstetrics Association. Her published work includes articles on lymph node metastasis in endometrial cancer, chemosensitivity and survival in advanced stage mucinous and serous epithelial ovarian cancer, frozen section accuracy in complex atypical endometrial hyperplasia, secondary cytoreductive surgery in recurrent epithelial ovarian cancer, surgical treatment of vulvar cancer, endoscopic management of adnexal masses, and cervical and breast cancer screening program results.

Dr. Karabük’s practice centers on urogynecology, the area of gynecology concerned with the pelvic floor and lower urinary tract in women. Within this field she sees patients with urinary incontinence and other bladder health concerns.
