Asst. Prof. Gökhan Arslanhan, MD

Asst. Prof. Gökhan Arslanhan, MD is a cardiovascular surgeon at Acibadem Maslak Hospital and Acibadem Altunizade Hospital, both located in İstanbul. He works within the Cardiovascular Surgery unit of these hospitals, and his subspecialty interests are vascular surgery and varicose vein treatment. Dr. Arslanhan graduated from İstanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 2014. After graduation, he worked as a general practitioner at Antakya State Hospital from 2014 to 2015. He then trained as a resident physician at Dr. Siyami Ersek Training and Research Hospital between 2015 and 2020, completing his specialty training in the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery of Dr. Siyami Ersek Thoracic, Cardiovascular Surgery Training and Research Hospital in 2020. Dr. Arslanhan’s clinical work covers cardiovascular surgery and vascular surgery. Within vascular surgery, his areas of expertise include the assessment and treatment of vascular conditions and varicose vein treatment. His published research relates to venous and arterial disease, including studies on deep venous thrombosis, critical limb ischemia and the cost of healthcare associated with deep vein thrombosis, as well as a case report on a large Chiari network mimicking a right atrial thrombus. How Dr. Arslanhan works with international patients

Dr. Arslanhan speaks Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who speak other languages. The hospital’s international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, such as MRI, CT, X-ray or ultrasound reports, laboratory and pathology results, operative notes and discharge summaries, and arranges appointments and the hospital visit.
