Dr. Gülistan Yeşilyurt

Dr. Gülistan Yeşilyurt is an Inpatient Clinic Physician at Acibadem Kartal Hospital in İstanbul. Her professional interests include inpatient ward care, botulinum toxin applications and dermal filler applications. In her role on the inpatient side, she is involved in the day-to-day medical support of patients admitted to the hospital and in communication about their care plan during the hospital stay.

Dr. Yeşilyurt graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 2024. In 2025, she joined Acıbadem Healthcare Services, where she currently works as an Inpatient Clinic Physician. She speaks Turkish and English, which allows her to communicate directly with many international patients during their admission.

A central part of Dr. Yeşilyurt’s work is inpatient ward care. For patients who have been admitted to the hospital, this means coordinated inpatient medical support during the stay, together with communication regarding the care plan. Patients and, where appropriate, their relatives can expect information about the steps planned during the admission and about how their care is being organized on the ward. Questions that arise during the admission can be raised with the inpatient physician on the ward. This support is provided as part of the patient’s overall hospital care.

Dr. Yeşilyurt also provides consultations related to botulinum toxin applications and dermal filler applications. In such a consultation, the patient’s request and medical history are discussed, and whether an application is suitable in the individual case is assessed before any decision is made. Possible options, the expected steps and relevant considerations are explained so that the patient can make an informed decision. As with any medical procedure, suitability depends on the individual situation and is determined only after a clinical assessment.

How Dr. Yeşilyurt works with international patients

Dr. Yeşilyurt speaks Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who prefer to communicate in another language. Before a visit, the Acibadem international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, such as MRI, CT, X-ray or ultrasound reports, laboratory and pathology results, operative notes and discharge summaries, arranges appointments and organizes the hospital visit. A first consultation typically covers the patient’s history and symptoms, a review of existing imaging and previous treatments, a clinical examination and a discussion of the options. Video consultation is available for international patients and may be used to discuss a case or clarify questions before or after a hospital visit; whether a video consultation is appropriate in a given case depends on the individual situation and the information available at that time.
