İbrahim Cingöz, MD

İbrahim Cingöz, MD is a pediatrician at Acibadem Kozyatagi Hospital in İstanbul, where he works in the Pediatrics unit. His practice covers the care of children from the newborn period onward, including routine healthy child follow-up, childhood vaccinations and the assessment and treatment of common childhood illnesses. He also follows newborns, including screening tests and the treatment of neonatal jaundice.

Dr. Cingöz studied at Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Medicine between 1992 and 1998 and completed his specialization in Pediatrics at the same faculty in 2003. He then worked as a Pediatrics Specialist at Ardahan State Hospital (2003–2006), Kütahya Asker Hospital (2006–2007) and Özel Çorlu Şifa Hospital (2007–2009). From 2009 to 2025 he was a Pediatrics Specialist at Acıbadem Bursa Hospital, and in 2025 he took up a Pediatrics Specialist position at Acıbadem Altunizade Hospital before joining the Kozyatagi team. He is a member of the Milli Pediatri Association, PUADER, the Türk Pediatri Association and the Turkish Medical Association.

Clinical focus

A large part of Dr. Cingöz’s work is preventive. He carries out healthy child follow-up and newborn follow-up, arranges and interprets newborn screening tests, advises on age-appropriate childhood vaccinations and treats neonatal jaundice. Families of young infants may also consult him for infant colic. Among older children he sees childhood urinary incontinence and childhood constipation, two conditions that are frequently related and are usually assessed together through history, examination and, where needed, further tests.

He also treats acute illnesses that are common in childhood, in particular upper respiratory tract illnesses and childhood rash illnesses. These include chickenpox and measles, where the emphasis is on confirming the diagnosis, managing symptoms, monitoring for complications and advising the family on isolation and on protecting other children in the household. The approach in each case depends on the child’s age, general health and vaccination history.

How Dr. Cingöz works with international patients

Dr. Cingöz consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for other languages. Before a visit, the hospital’s international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports, such as laboratory results, ultrasound or other imaging reports, vaccination and growth records already held by the family, previous prescriptions and discharge summaries, and arranges the appointment and the hospital visit. A first consultation typically covers the child’s history and current symptoms, a review of existing test results and previous treatments, a clinical examination and a discussion of the possible next steps with the parents.
