How Dr. Isayeva works with international patients

Dr. Isayeva consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who speak other languages. Before a visit, the Acibadem international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, for example MRI, CT, X-ray or ultrasound reports, laboratory and pathology results, operative notes and discharge summaries, and arranges appointments and the hospital visit. A first consultation typically covers the patient’s history and symptoms, a review of existing imaging and previous treatments, a clinical examination and a discussion of the options. Because much of a radiologist’s work depends on the quality and completeness of the images themselves, having the original imaging files available, and not only the written reports, is generally helpful for a meaningful review. Video consultation is available for international patients, which may be used to discuss existing imaging findings or to clarify which examinations might be considered, although some assessments still require an in-person examination and imaging performed on site.
