Mustafa Şener Yıldırım, MD

Mustafa Şener Yıldırım, MD is an Intensive Care specialist at Acibadem Kozyatagi Hospital in İstanbul, where he works within the Anesthesiology & Reanimation unit. In an intensive care context, this may become relevant when curative or life-prolonging treatment is no longer expected to help, and it is introduced when appropriate, in discussion with the patient’s relatives and the wider treating team. The suitability of any of these approaches for a particular patient can only be judged after a full clinical assessment.

How Dr. Yıldırım works with international patients

Dr. Yıldırım speaks Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients and families who speak other languages. Before a visit, the Acibadem international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, such as MRI, CT, X-ray or ultrasound reports, laboratory and pathology results, operative notes and discharge summaries, and arranges the appointments and the hospital visit itself.
