Mustafa Yalçın, MD

He subsequently worked at Adana Numune Training and Research Hospital (2008–2009), Dokuz Eylül University Hospital (2009–2013), Amasya University Training and Research Hospital (2014–2015) and Özel Kent Hospital (2016) before joining Acıbadem Healthcare Services in 2023. He is a member of the Turkish Gastroenterology Association, the Inflammatory Bowel Diseases Association, the Turkish Medical Association, the Turkish Liver Research Association and the Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Association.

Clinical focus

A central part of Dr. Yalçın’s practice is the assessment and long-term care of patients with inflammatory bowel disease, including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. These are chronic conditions in which symptoms may vary over time, and their management typically involves establishing the diagnosis, assessing disease extent and activity, and reviewing treatment at regular intervals. He also evaluates patients with pancreatic diseases, liver diseases, gastritis and dyspepsia.

Dr. Yalçın performs gastroscopy, colonoscopy and oesophagoscopy, which allow direct examination of the upper and lower digestive tract and, where appropriate, the collection of tissue samples. He also performs ERCP, an endoscopic procedure used in the evaluation and treatment of certain conditions affecting the bile ducts and pancreas.
