Nursev Hazar

Nursev Hazar works in the treatment of respiratory conditions at Acibadem Kozyatagi Hospital in İstanbul. Her professional focus is rehabilitation for people with chest and respiratory disease, and her practice combines respiratory rehabilitation with physical rehabilitation.

She completed her undergraduate education at İstanbul University School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation in 2006. In 2008 she earned a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation in Chest Diseases from İstanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine Institute of Pulmonary Diseases and Tuberculosis, and in 2014 she completed further training at İstanbul University Health Sciences Institute. Her professional experience includes Private Koçak Special Education and Rehabilitation Center (2006–2007), Siyami Ersek Thoracic Cardiovascular Surgery Training and Research Hospital (2007–2008), Özel Medical Park Göztepe Hospital and Acıbadem Healthcare Services (both from 2008). She is a member of the Türkiye Fizyoterapistler Association, the Türk Toraks Association and the Turkish Respiratory Research Association.

Clinical focus

Nursev Hazar’s clinical work centers on respiratory rehabilitation and chest disease rehabilitation. Rehabilitation in this field is generally planned around the individual patient’s condition, symptoms and existing treatment, with the aim of supporting breathing function and day-to-day activity within the limits set by the underlying disease. Her training in chest diseases informs how she assesses patients and structures rehabilitation programs.

She also works in physical rehabilitation, which may be combined with respiratory rehabilitation where a patient’s overall condition requires it. How Nursev Hazar works with international patients

Before the visit, the Acibadem international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, such as chest X-ray or CT reports, laboratory results, operative notes and discharge summaries, and arranges appointments and the hospital visit itself. A first consultation typically covers the patient’s history and symptoms, a review of existing imaging and previous treatments, a clinical examination and a discussion of the rehabilitation options that may be considered. Video consultation is available for international patients who wish to discuss their situation before traveling or to follow up after a visit.
