Parvana Mıkaılova, MD is a Clinical Laboratory specialist at Acibadem International Hospital in İstanbul, where she works within the Clinical Laboratory unit. Dr. Mıkaılova graduated from Azerbaycan Medical University Faculty of Medicine in 2011. She then completed specialty training in Medical Biochemistry at İstanbul University İstanbul Faculty of Medicine, finishing in 2018. In the same year she joined Acıbadem Healthcare Services, where she has continued her laboratory-based work. Her training combines a medical degree with a specialist qualification in medical biochemistry, the discipline concerned with the chemical analysis of blood and other body fluids for diagnostic purposes.

Dr. Mıkaılova speaks Turkish and English. For patients coming from abroad, the Acibadem international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, including laboratory and pathology results, MRI, CT, X-ray or ultrasound reports, operative notes and discharge summaries, and arranges appointments and the hospital visit. A first consultation typically covers the patient’s history and symptoms, a review of existing test results and previous treatments, a clinical examination where relevant and a discussion of the options. Because laboratory medicine supports the wider care team, laboratory-focused evaluation is delivered in coordination with the treating physicians.
