Prof. Dr. Selçuk Palaoğlu

Prof. Selçuk Palaoğlu is a seasoned neurosurgeon and academic leader with a long-standing commitment to clinical care, education, and professional service. He trained in neurosurgery at Hacettepe University, completing his specialty training and earning the title of Associate Professor between 1994 and 1997. He has held senior roles in both hospital and academic settings, including affiliation with Acıbadem Health Group since 2014. His work spans clinical neurosurgery, ethical oversight, and program development for national and international societies.

Active in professional governance and academic service, he has served on the Hacettepe University Senate and the Faculty of Medicine Ethics Committee, contributed to the Institute of Neurological Sciences and Psychiatry’s Department of Clinical Neurological Sciences, and participated on the board of the Turkish Neurosurgical Society. He is involved with the European Association of Neurosurgical Societies and Eurospine Association program committees, and holds honorary and editorial roles including Honorary Board Member of the Turkish Spine Society and participation with the Turkish Journal of Neurosurgery. His career combines patient-centered practice, medical education, research oversight, and leadership within national and international neurosurgical communities.
