Seray Zorlu, MD

Seray Zorlu, MD is a radiologist at Acibadem Kent Hospital (Izmir) in İzmir, where she works in the hospital’s Radiology unit. Her areas of expertise are magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), virtual angiography, computed tomography (CT) and ultrasonographic imaging. She has more than 21 years of experience in medicine, and her radiology background includes work in breast imaging, emergency radiology and magnetic resonance imaging units.

Dr. Zorlu graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 2005. After working as a research assistant in the Psychiatry Clinic of Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital from 2006 to 2007, she trained in radiology as a research assistant at Hacettepe University, Department of Radiology from 2007 to 2013, completing her radiology specialization at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 2013. From 2013 to 2016 she was a specialist at Dışkapı Yıldırım Beyazıt Training and Research Hospital, Radiology Clinic, working in the Breast Unit, Emergency Radiology and the MR Unit. Between 2016 and 2020 she served as a lecturer at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Radiology. She joined Acıbadem Healthcare Services in 2024. Dr. Zorlu is a member of the Turkish Radiology Association (TRD), the Turkish Interventional Radiology Association (TGRD), the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE), the Interventional Oncology Association and the Türk Manyetik Rezonans Association (TRMD).

Dr. Zorlu’s clinical work centers on diagnostic imaging. Her expertise covers magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), ultrasonographic imaging and virtual angiography, a non-invasive, imaging-based method of visualizing blood vessels. Her earlier hospital posts included dedicated work in breast imaging, emergency radiology and MR imaging, and these areas are reflected in her published research. Her publications include work on multidetector CT evaluation of small bowel wall thickening in the emergency room, a review of the imaging findings of lipomatosis, an angiographic evaluation of the branching pattern and anatomy of the aortic arch, and a study of leptomeningeal collaterals in ischemic stroke.
