Prof. Dr. Tevfik Rıfkı Evrenkaya

Prof. Dr. Tevfik Rıfkı Evrenkaya is an Internal Medicine specialist practicing at Acibadem Kozyatagi Hospital in İstanbul. He is a member of the Turkish Nephrology Association, the Turkish Internal Medicine Specialists Association, the Diyaliz Hekimleri Association, the European Dialysis and Transplantation Association/European Renal Association and the International Nephrology Association. His published research includes studies on hemodialysis, infections related to temporary hemodialysis catheters, nutritional assessment in hemodialysis patients, uremic bone disease and experimental drug-induced nephrotoxicity.

Clinical focus

Dr. Evrenkaya’s clinical practice centers on the diagnosis and medical treatment of conditions commonly seen in internal medicine. A central part of his work is thyroid disease diagnosis and treatment. He also evaluates and manages hypertension, anemia, and metabolic diseases, and provides Type 1 diabetes treatment as well as Type 2 diabetes treatment.

His areas of expertise further include upper respiratory tract diseases, geriatric health and the management of chronic diseases. Patients with long-standing or overlapping conditions may consult him for assessment, medical treatment planning and ongoing follow-up.
