She assesses and treats patients with cervical disc herniation and lumbar disc herniation, cervical spinal stenosis and lumbar hypolordosis, as well as tethered cord syndrome and injuries of the spine and spinal cord. Evaluation typically involves correlating the patient’s symptoms and neurological findings with imaging in order to establish whether conservative management, further investigation or surgical treatment is appropriate.

Where surgery is considered, her practice covers spine surgery for disc herniation and spinal stenosis, and spinal fusion surgery in selected cases where stabilization of the spine is required. Treatment recommendations are made on an individual basis after a full review of the clinical picture and imaging, and she discusses the potential benefits, risks and alternatives of each option with the patient.

How Dr. Yayla works with international patients

Dr. Yayla consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who speak other languages.
