Tülay Tekin, MD

Tülay Tekin, MD is an Emergency Service physician at Acibadem Fulya Hospital in İstanbul. Dr. Tekin graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 2008. Her professional experience began at Rize Fındıklı Goiter Research Center (2009–2011), followed by positions at Medical Park Göztepe Hospital (2011–2013), LIV Hospital Ulus (2013–2021) and Amerikan Hospital (2021–2023). From 2023 to 2024 she worked at Six Senses Kaplankaya – Onlyhealth Healthy Living Center before joining Acıbadem Healthcare Services in 2024.

How Dr. Tekin works with international patients

Dr. Tekin consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who speak other languages. For international patients, the Acibadem international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, for example MRI, CT, X-ray or ultrasound reports, laboratory and pathology results, operative notes and discharge summaries, and arranges appointments and the hospital visit. A first consultation typically covers the patient’s history and symptoms, a review of existing imaging and previous treatments, a clinical examination and a discussion of the options. Video consultation is available for international patients and may be used to review a case before travel or to follow up after a hospital visit, where this is clinically appropriate.
