Adnan Abbasoğlu, MD

Adnan Abbasoğlu, MD is a specialist in Orthopedic Surgery & Traumatology at Acibadem Dr. Sinasi Can (Kadikoy) Hospital in İstanbul, where he practices in the Orthopedics & Joint Center. Clinical focus

Orthopedic trauma is a central part of Dr. Abbasoğlu’s practice. This area covers the assessment and treatment of injuries to bones and joints, including fractures, in which the choice between conservative management and surgery depends on the type of injury, its displacement and the patient’s age and general condition. His publications on fractures of the humerus in children, of the radial head, and of the trochanteric region of the hip reflect this interest in fracture care across different age groups.

His work also focuses on knee surgery and shoulder surgery. In the knee, his published research addresses meniscal surgery and the arthroscopic reconstruction of anterior cruciate ligament injuries. Patients with knee or shoulder complaints are evaluated clinically and with existing imaging so that the nature of the problem can be defined before any treatment is discussed. Treatment options are considered individually, and surgery is one of several possibilities rather than an automatic outcome of a consultation.

How Dr. Abbasoğlu works with international patients

Dr. Abbasoğlu consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who speak other languages.
