Ali Elibol, MD

Ali Elibol, MD is a radiologist in the Radiology unit at Acibadem Kartal Hospital in İstanbul. Dr. Elibol graduated from İstanbul University İstanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1994. He began residency training in neurology at Bezmialem Valide Sultan Vakıf Gureba Hospital in İstanbul (1995–1996) before moving to radiology at the same institution, where he completed his radiology residency in 2001. From 2001 to 2006 he worked as a general practitioner at Demirözü Health Center in Bayburt as part of compulsory service. He then held radiology specialist positions at EMARTOM Imaging Center in İstanbul (2006–2007), Esenyurt Kızılay Hospital (2007–2010), Özel Adatıp Kurtköy Hospital (2018–2022) and Private Lokman Hekim Kurtköy Hospital (2022), as well as a further radiology specialist role at a private hospital in İstanbul between 2013 and 2018. In 2013 he spent time as a clinical observer at Aintree University and The Walton Centre in Liverpool, England. He joined Acıbadem Healthcare Services in 2025. His professional memberships include the Turkish Medical Chamber, the Turkish Radiology Association, the Türk Nöroradyoloji Association, the Türk Manyetik Rezonans Association, the Avrupa Nöroradyoloji Association (ESNR) and the European Radiology Association (ESR).

Clinical focus

Dr. Elibol’s work centers on diagnostic imaging rather than on treatment itself. A significant part of his practice relates to breast diseases, where he reports mammography and ultrasound imaging to help characterize findings and support the decisions made by the referring clinical team. He also reports magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computed tomography (CT) studies and has an interest in virtual angiography, a non-invasive way of visualizing blood vessels using cross-sectional imaging data.

Imaging findings are interpreted in the context of the patient’s history and symptoms, and the results are communicated to the referring physician, who discusses their implications and any further steps with the patient. Where a study needs to be compared with earlier examinations, previous images and reports are reviewed alongside the new findings.

How Dr. Elibol works with international patients

Dr. Elibol consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for other languages.
