Aslı Yetgin Yazar, DDS is a dentist working in the field of periodontology at Acibadem Kozyatagi Hospital in İstanbul, where she is part of the Dental & Oral Health unit. Clinical focus

This includes the assessment and management of bleeding gums, gum recession, gum abscesses, oral sores and bad breath, as well as dental calculus cleaning. She also treats peri-implantitis, an inflammatory condition affecting the tissues around dental implants, and offers laser gum treatment where it is considered appropriate for the individual patient.

Dr. Yazar additionally works in the area of gum aesthetics. This includes the evaluation of the gum line and its relationship to the teeth and lips, and procedures such as Botox for a gummy smile. How Dr. Yazar works with international patients

Dr. Yazar consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who speak other languages. The Acibadem international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, such as dental X-rays, previous treatment records and any relevant laboratory results, and arranges appointments and the hospital visit. A first consultation typically covers the patient’s history and symptoms, a review of existing imaging and previous dental or periodontal treatments, a clinical examination of the gums and supporting tissues, and a discussion of the possible options. Video consultation is available for international patients who wish to discuss their situation before travelling, keeping in mind that a full periodontal assessment requires an in-person examination.
