Aylin Çimet Ayyıldız, MD

Aylin Çimet Ayyıldız, MD is an Intensive Care specialist at Acibadem International Hospital in İstanbul, where she works within the Anesthesiology & Reanimation unit. Dr. Ayyıldız graduated from İstanbul University İstanbul Faculty of Medicine in 2001. She completed her specialty training in 2009 at the İstanbul University İstanbul Faculty of Medicine Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimation. She has been working with Acıbadem Healthcare Services since 2010 and is a member of the İstanbul Medical Chamber.

Clinical focus

Her areas of expertise include perioperative anesthetic management, pain control, evidence-based anesthetic techniques and intensive care management. In the perioperative setting, this involves assessing patients before an operation, planning and delivering anesthesia during the procedure and following the patient through the early recovery period. In the intensive care unit, Dr. Ayyıldız is involved in the ongoing monitoring and management of critically ill patients. This work is closely coordinated with the surgical and medical teams responsible for each patient, and she works with multidisciplinary teams to help ensure continuity of care during critical illness. Decisions about treatment are made on an individual basis, and the course of any critical illness depends on the underlying condition and the patient’s overall health.

How Dr. Ayyıldız works with international patients

Dr. Ayyıldız speaks Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who speak other languages. The Acibadem international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, such as MRI, CT, X-ray or ultrasound reports, laboratory and pathology results, operative notes and discharge summaries, and arranges appointments and the hospital visit. A first consultation typically covers the patient’s history and symptoms, a review of existing imaging and previous treatments, a clinical examination and a discussion of the options. For patients who would like to speak with her before traveling, a video consultation is available for international patients.
