Aylin Ogan, MD

Aylin Ogan, MD is an Intensive Care specialist at Acibadem International Hospital in İstanbul, where she practices within the Anesthesiology & Reanimation unit. Dr. Ogan graduated from İstanbul University İstanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1999 and completed her specialty training in Anesthesiology and Reanimation at the same institution in 2004. Dr. Ogan’s areas of expertise cover the continuum from the operating room to the intensive care setting. This involves the close observation of patients whose vital functions need to be supported or stabilized, the coordination of treatment with the surgical and medical teams responsible for the patient, and ongoing reassessment as the clinical picture changes. How Dr. Ogan works with international patients

Dr. Ogan consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who speak other languages. The Acibadem international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, such as MRI, CT, X-ray or ultrasound reports, laboratory and pathology results, operative notes and discharge summaries, and arranges appointments and the hospital visit. A first consultation typically covers the patient’s history and symptoms, a review of existing imaging and previous treatments, a clinical examination and a discussion of the options. For patients who are not yet in İstanbul, or whose families are coordinating care from abroad, a video consultation for international patients is available, which can be used to discuss the patient’s situation and the documents that have been shared before any visit is planned.
