Prof. Dr. Ayşe Sağduyu Kocaman

Prof. Ayşe Sağduyu Kocaman is an experienced neurologist with a clinical specialty in intensive care. She completed her Medical Specialty Board certification in Intensive Care in 2013 and has held positions in academic neurology, including work at Acıbadem University’s Department of Neurology in 2012. Her clinical interests span neurocritical care, multiple sclerosis, neuroimmunology, neuro-Behçet’s disease, and nutritional support for neurological patients.

She is a founding co-chair of the Neurological Intensive Care Working Group within the Turkish Neurological Association and is active in multidisciplinary efforts that link neurology, intensive care, and clinical nutrition. Prof. Kocaman is a member of multiple professional organizations, including the Izmir Chamber of Medicine, Istanbul Medical Chamber, European Federation of Neurological Societies (EFNS), European Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ESPEN), Clinical Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition Association (KEPAN), Turkish Neurological Association (with roles in the Multiple Sclerosis, Neuroimmunology, and Neuro-Behçet’s working groups), Izmir Multiple Sclerosis Association, and the Turkish Cerebrovascular Diseases Association. Her work emphasizes integrated, evidence-based care for complex neurological patients, with a particular focus on improving outcomes in neurocritical settings and advancing care for demyelinating and neuroinflammatory disorders.
