Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bahar Sevimli Dikicier

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bahar Sevimli Dikicier is a dermatologist at Acibadem Atakent Hospital in İstanbul, where she works in the Dermatology unit. Her clinical work spans medical and cosmetic dermatology, with a focus on inflammatory skin conditions such as urticaria, rosacea and the different forms of dermatitis, alongside cosmetic applications including medical peels and botulinum toxin treatment. She has more than 25 years of experience in medicine and treats both children and adults.

Dr. Dikicier graduated from Gazi University Faculty of Medicine in 2001 and completed her specialty training at the Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital Department of Dermatology and Venereal Diseases in 2005. She then worked as a specialist doctor at Ankara Etlik İhtisas Training and Research Hospital from 2006 to 2008, at Ankara Dışkapı Yıldırım Beyazıt Training and Research Hospital from 2008 to 2009, and at Sakarya Training and Research Hospital from 2009 to 2017. In 2026 she joined Acıbadem Healthcare Services. She is a member of the Turkish Dermatology Association.

Clinical focus

A significant part of Dr. Dikicier’s practice is devoted to inflammatory and allergic skin diseases. She sees children and adults with urticaria, including pediatric urticaria, and evaluates patients with rosacea, atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis and seborrheic dermatitis. These conditions often follow a chronic or relapsing course, and management is generally planned around the individual patient’s history, possible triggers and response to previous treatment, with the aim of controlling symptoms over time rather than offering a single fixed protocol.

In cosmetic dermatology, Dr. Dikicier performs medical peels, including enzymatic peels, carbon peels and chemical peels, as well as botulinum toxin applications. She also uses cryotherapy, a treatment based on controlled cold application, where clinically appropriate. Whether a given procedure is suitable depends on the patient’s skin type, underlying condition and expectations, which are reviewed during the consultation before any treatment is proposed. How Dr. Dikicier works with international patients
