Clinical focus

A substantial part of Dr. Erdem’s work concerns the pelvic floor and bladder. She evaluates and treats women with urinary incontinence and other bladder symptoms, and her urogynecology practice addresses conditions in which gynecological and urinary complaints overlap. She also cares for patients with chronic or recurring pelvic pain, and for those with endometriosis, where the assessment usually considers symptoms, findings on examination and any imaging already performed before options are discussed.

Her reproductive and obstetric work includes the assessment of menstrual irregularities and infertility, the diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases, and care during menopause, including the discussion of symptom management. In pregnancy, she follows women with gestational diabetes and performs cesarean delivery when this is indicated.
