Dr. Doğuş Durmuş

Dr. Doğuş Durmuş is a General Surgery specialist at Acibadem Bodrum Hospital in Muğla, Turkey. Dr. Durmuş graduated from Gülhane Military Medical Academy Faculty of Medicine in 2012. He completed his specialty training at Health Sciences University Gülhane Training and Research Hospital Department of General Surgery in 2020. A central part of Dr. Durmuş’s work is the surgical management of pancreatic, liver and biliary tract diseases, including liver cancer. He also performs oncological surgery for cancers of the digestive system, such as small bowel cancer and rectal cancer, and offers colorectal surgery for benign and malignant conditions, including rectal prolapse. Where appropriate, he uses robotic surgical techniques; the choice of approach depends on the individual patient’s condition, imaging findings and general health.

His areas of expertise further include anti-reflux surgery for patients with reflux disease that has not responded to other measures, thyroid surgery, mastectomy, and the repair of inguinal and umbilical hernias. Each patient is assessed individually, and the suitability of any procedure is determined only after a clinical examination and a review of the relevant investigations.

How Dr. Durmuş works with international patients

Dr. Durmuş consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who speak other languages.
