Emre Çengelli, DDS

Emre Çengelli, DDS is an Oral, Dental and Maxillofacial Surgery Specialist at Acibadem Kent Hospital (Izmir), where he works within the Dental & Oral Health unit. In parallel, from 2020 to 2025, he ran his own private practice in Alsancak, İzmir, as an Oral, Dental and Maxillofacial Surgery Specialist and General Dentist. In 2025 he joined Acıbadem Healthcare Services.

Clinical focus

Dr. Çengelli’s clinical work centers on the surgical treatment of the teeth, jaws and surrounding structures. A significant part of his practice involves dental implants and the procedures that prepare the jaw for them, including bone grafting and sinus lifting where the available bone is limited. He performs tooth extraction and impacted tooth extraction, jaw cyst surgery and jaw fracture surgery, and he is involved in the surgical management of oral cancer.

He also treats conditions affecting the jaw joint and the muscles of the face. These include temporomandibular joint disorders, trismus (restricted opening of the mouth) and bruxism, which he treats with Botox and night guards depending on the clinical picture. For patients whose jaws are misaligned, he offers orthognathic surgery, which is planned on an individual basis after clinical and radiological assessment.

How Dr. Çengelli works with international patients

Dr. Çengelli consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who speak other languages. Before a visit, the Acibadem international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, such as dental and jaw X-rays, CT scans, pathology results, operative notes and discharge summaries, and arranges appointments and the hospital visit. A first consultation typically covers the patient’s history and symptoms, a review of existing imaging and previous treatments, a clinical examination and a discussion of the possible options. Video consultation is available for international patients who wish to discuss their case with Dr. Çengelli before traveling to İzmir.
