Ferhat Çetin, MD

Since 2022 he has served as an Assistant Professor at İstanbul Health and Technology University. He is a member of the Turkish Diabetes and Obesity Foundation and Türk Diyabet Cemiyeti, and he has co-authored published research on the dietary inflammatory index, mental status and quality of life in type 2 diabetes, on glycemic response after consumption of dry versus fresh fruit, and on quality of life and depression among hemodialysis patients.

Clinical focus

Dr. Çetin’s areas of expertise center on metabolic and endocrine conditions managed within internal medicine. He evaluates and treats thyroid diseases, and his practice includes type 1 diabetes and diabetes treatment more broadly. He also sees patients with prediabetes and insulin resistance, conditions in which blood glucose regulation is impaired but a diagnosis of diabetes may not yet be established.

Weight-related health concerns form a further part of his work. Dr. Çetin assesses and manages obesity in adults, taking into account its relationship with insulin resistance, prediabetes and diabetes.
