Clinical focus

Dr. Seçkin’s clinical work covers a broad range of general surgical conditions. In endocrine surgery he evaluates and operates on patients with surgical endocrine disorders. His oncologic surgery practice includes mastectomy. He also performs colorectal surgery and inguinal hernia surgery, and he treats hemorrhoids and other anorectal diseases, an area in which he has a dedicated subspecialty interest.

A further area of his practice is the digestive system and the hepatopancreatobiliary organs. He manages pancreatic diseases and surgery, liver diseases and surgery, and diseases of the biliary tract, including cholecystitis. Digestive system surgery more generally also falls within his scope. Treatment decisions are made after a review of the individual patient’s findings, and surgery is considered where it is clinically appropriate; not every patient who is assessed will be advised to have an operation.

How Dr. Seçkin works with international patients

Dr. Seçkin consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who speak other languages. The Acibadem international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, such as MRI, CT, X-ray or ultrasound reports, laboratory and pathology results, operative notes and discharge summaries, arranges appointments and organizes the hospital visit.
