Hamed Moghanchı Zadeh, MD

Hamed Moghanchı Zadeh, MD is a cardiologist in the Cardiology Department at Acibadem Kent Hospital (Izmir) in İzmir. He has more than 16 years in medicine and provides assessment and care for a range of heart and circulatory conditions, including coronary artery disease, high blood pressure, heart failure, heart valve diseases, myocarditis and heart murmurs, as well as angiography and pacemaker-related care.

He graduated from Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine in 2010 and completed his cardiology training at Osmangazi University Faculty of Medicine in 2016. Clinical focus

Dr. Zadeh’s clinical work covers several of the most common cardiovascular conditions. He evaluates and manages coronary artery disease, in which narrowing of the arteries supplying the heart can cause chest symptoms or reduced blood flow, and he performs angiography as part of the diagnostic work-up when it is clinically indicated. He also follows patients with high blood pressure, a condition that often requires long-term monitoring and adjustment of treatment over time.

His interests further include heart failure, where the heart does not pump as effectively as it should, and heart valve diseases, in which one or more valves do not open or close properly. He assesses heart murmurs, which may be harmless or may point to an underlying valve or structural problem, and he cares for patients with myocarditis, an inflammation of the heart muscle. Dr. Zadeh also provides follow-up care for patients who have a pacemaker. In each case, the approach depends on the individual patient’s history, symptoms and findings, and the options are discussed with the patient before any decision is made.

How Dr. Zadeh works with international patients

Dr. Zadeh consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who speak other languages. Before the visit, the Acibadem international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, such as echocardiography, CT, MRI or X-ray reports, laboratory results, operative notes and discharge summaries, and arranges appointments and the hospital visit. A first consultation typically covers the patient’s history and current symptoms, a review of existing imaging and previous treatments, a clinical examination and a discussion of the possible options. Video consultation is available for international patients who wish to have an initial discussion or a review of their records before deciding whether to travel. Any recommendations made remotely are provisional and may be revised after an in-person examination and any further tests that are considered necessary.
