Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hasan Aldinç

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hasan Aldinç is an Emergency Medicine specialist who sees patients at Acibadem Atakent Hospital and Acibadem Bahçeşehir Outpatient Clinic in İstanbul. He has more than 21 years of experience in medicine, with a clinical focus on trauma care, advanced life support and acute emergencies such as airway obstruction, drowning and acute hypoxia.

Dr. Aldinç graduated from Gazi University Faculty of Medicine in 2005 and completed his Emergency Medicine specialty training at Başkent University Faculty of Medicine in 2011. He then worked as an Emergency Medicine specialist at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Training and Research Hospital (2011–2012) and Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Training and Research Hospital (2012–2014), and in 2012 held the position of Medical Director in Oncology at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. In 2014 he joined the Emergency Medicine Department at Atakent, and from 2015 to 2018 he served as Deputy Chief Physician for Emergency Medicine. Alongside his clinical work, he has held teaching positions at Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University, first as a Lecturer Dr. in the Department of First and Emergency Aid at the Vocational School of Health Services (2014) and later in the Department of Internal Medical Sciences at the Faculty of Medicine (2016). His published research covers topics including pediatric trauma and scoring systems, screening for intimate partner violence in the emergency department, injection-related pain reduction, imaging in patients with flank pain, geriatric patients in the emergency department and dizziness.

Clinical focus

Dr. Aldinç’s emergency practice centers on the assessment and management of acute conditions. This includes trauma care and advanced life support, as well as environmental and toxicological emergencies such as insect bites and stings, bee stings and tick bites. He also manages drowning emergencies, acute hypoxia and airway obstruction, where timely evaluation and stabilization guide further treatment. Care in these situations is directed by the patient’s presenting symptoms, findings on examination and the clinical urgency of the case.

In addition to emergency medicine, Dr. Aldinç has an interest in a number of procedural applications. These include botulinum toxin applications, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) applications, mesotherapy and microneedle radiofrequency, which he applies for facial concerns, hair, stretch marks and cellulite. Whether a given procedure is appropriate depends on an individual assessment of the patient’s history, expectations and skin or hair condition.

How Dr. Aldinç works with international patients

Dr. Aldinç consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who speak other languages. Before a visit, the international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, such as MRI, CT, X-ray or ultrasound reports, laboratory and pathology results, operative notes and discharge summaries, and arranges appointments and the hospital visit. A first consultation typically covers the patient’s history and symptoms, a review of existing imaging and previous treatments, a clinical examination and a discussion of the available options. Video consultation is available for international patients who wish to discuss their situation before traveling.
