Hasan Kendirli, MD

Hasan Kendirli, MD is a physician in the Emergency Service at Acibadem International Hospital in İstanbul. He has more than 27 years in medicine, and his clinical work centers on the assessment and initial management of urgent conditions, including environmental emergencies, insect bites and stings, burns and trauma.

Dr. Kendirli graduated from İstanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1999 and completed Family Medicine training at Başkent University Faculty of Medicine in the same year. His professional experience includes medical practice at Sivas Koyulhisar Sugözü Health Center (2000–2002), workplace medicine at Koyulhisar Menka Mining (2001–2002), medical practice at Ankara Niyazi Karabey Health Center (2002–2003) and medical practice at the Private Infirmary of Ankara Polatlı Artillery and Missile School (2007–2008). In 2008 he worked at Acıbadem Healthcare Services and then served as Responsible Physician at Bartın KETEM (Cancer Early Diagnosis, Screening and Training Center) from 2008 to 2012, followed by Family Medicine practice at Tuna Family Health Center from 2012 to 2015. He is a member of the Turkish Medical Association, the Family Medicine Specialization Association and the Aile Hekimleri Federasyonu.

Clinical focus

Dr. Kendirli’s areas of expertise include environmental emergencies such as drowning, acute hypoxia and airway obstruction. In these situations, early assessment of breathing and circulation and protection of the airway are priorities, while the underlying cause of the emergency is identified and addressed. He also manages insect bites and stings, which can range from limited local reactions to more serious responses that call for prompt observation and treatment.

His work further covers emergency interventions, burn treatment and trauma care. Emergency assessment of burns and injuries generally involves evaluating the extent and severity of the injury, stabilizing the patient and determining whether further specialist treatment or admission to the hospital is needed. Because emergency conditions vary widely in cause and severity, the approach in each case depends on the patient’s clinical presentation, overall condition and the findings of the examination.

Dr. Kendirli consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who speak other languages.
