Prof. Dr. Mehmet Uğur Özbaydar

Prof. Dr. Mehmet Uğur Özbaydar is a specialist in Orthopedic Surgery & Traumatology at Acibadem Kozyatagi Hospital in İstanbul, where he works within the Orthopedics & Joint Center. He is a member of the European Shoulder and Elbow Surgery Association (SECEC), the Turkish Orthopedics and Traumatology Association (TOTDER), the Turkish Orthopedics and Traumatology Union Association (TOTBİD), the Turkish Sports Injuries, Arthroscopy and Knee Surgery Association, and the Turkish Shoulder and Elbow Surgery Association. His peer-reviewed publications include studies on arthroscopic capsulolabral repair, suture anchor techniques in rotator cuff repair, pectoralis major transfer for irreparable subscapularis tears, arthroscopic capsular release for shoulder stiffness, acromioclavicular joint injuries, and fixation methods in distal metatarsal osteotomy for hallux valgus.

Clinical focus

Dr. Özbaydar treats a broad range of orthopedic conditions of the upper and lower limbs. In the shoulder and elbow, his practice includes shoulder surgery and elbow surgery. In the knee, he manages meniscus tears, cruciate ligament ruptures, and other knee and joint injuries, including sports injuries and muscle tears. His joint replacement work covers hip replacement surgery and knee replacement surgery, and he uses robotic surgery where it is considered appropriate for the individual patient.
