Dr. Ömür Albayrak

Dr. Ömür Albayrak is a physician in the Vitro Fertilization and Reproductive Medicine Center at Acibadem Kent Hospital (Izmir), where she works within the Gynecology & Obstetrics unit. She has more than 14 years in medicine, and her clinical work centers on infertility and reproductive medicine, including reduced ovarian reserve, AMH assessment, egg freezing, polycystic ovary syndrome and endometriosis treatment. She joined Acıbadem Healthcare Services in 2025.

Dr. Albayrak graduated from Abant İzzet Baysal University Faculty of Medicine in 2012 and completed her specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the same faculty in 2020. Her residency training took place at Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University Training and Research Hospital, where she worked as an assistant from 2015 to 2019. She then held specialist positions at Bolu İzzet Baysal State Hospital (2019–2021), at Bolu Özel Çağsu Hospital (2021–2022) and again at Bolu İzzet Baysal State Hospital from 2023. She is a member of TJOD and TÜBİD.

Clinical focus

A central part of Dr. Albayrak’s practice is the evaluation and management of infertility. This includes assessment of reduced ovarian reserve, in which AMH (anti-Müllerian hormone) testing is used alongside the patient’s history and other findings to help understand ovarian function and to inform the discussion of reproductive options. She also advises on egg freezing as a form of fertility preservation, where this is relevant to the individual patient’s situation and goals.

Dr. Albayrak additionally sees patients with polycystic ovary syndrome, a condition that can affect ovulation and fertility, and patients requiring endometriosis treatment, particularly where the condition is associated with difficulty conceiving. In each case the approach depends on the patient’s symptoms, examination findings, previous treatments and personal reproductive plans, and the available options are discussed with the patient before any decision is made.

How Dr. Albayrak works with international patients

Dr. Albayrak consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who speak other languages. Before a visit, the Acibadem international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, such as ultrasound reports, laboratory and hormone results including AMH values, operative notes and discharge summaries, and arranges appointments and the hospital visit. A first consultation typically covers the patient’s history and symptoms, a review of existing imaging and previous fertility or gynecological treatments, a clinical examination and a discussion of the options that may be appropriate. Video consultation is available for international patients who wish to discuss their situation or review existing results before deciding whether to travel.
