Prof. Dr. Umut Yavuz

Prof. Dr. Umut Yavuz is an Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology specialist with a clinical focus on foot and ankle surgery, hip and knee replacement surgery, trauma care, deformity surgery, and robotic surgery. His areas of interest also include diabetic and Charcot foot surgery, anterior cruciate ligament injuries, and meniscus tears.

He graduated from İstanbul University İstanbul Faculty of Medicine in 2001. He then worked as a research assistant in the Department of Anatomy at İstanbul University İstanbul Faculty of Medicine from 2001 to 2003, followed by residency training in the Orthopedics and Traumatology Clinic at İstanbul Göztepe Training and Research Hospital from 2003 to 2008, where he completed his Orthopedics and Traumatology training in 2008. His career has included specialist roles at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Training and Research Hospital, Etimesgut Military Hospital, and Horasan State Hospital, followed by positions at MS Baltalimani Bone Diseases Training and Research Hospital, İAÜ Florya Liv Research and Application Hospital, İstanbul Aydın University Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology, Memorial Hizmet Hospital, Medicana Kadıköy Hospital, and private practice in Fulya.

At Kadıköy (Dr. Şinasi Can) Hospital, international patients can expect assessment and treatment planning in line with his orthopedic subspecialty interests, particularly for hip and knee prosthetic surgery, foot and ankle conditions, sports-related knee injuries, trauma, and complex foot problems such as diabetic and Charcot foot. He is a member of TOTEK, TOTBID, the Hip and Knee Arthroplasty Association, the TOTBID Foot and Ankle Surgery Branch, the Turkish Medical Association, and TOTDER.
