Dr. Yasemin Kural

Dr. Kural graduated from Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Medicine in 1987 and completed her specialty training at the İstanbul Beyoğlu Training and Research Hospital Department of Dermatology and Venereal Diseases in 1992. She began her career as a general practitioner at the Elazığ Mother and Child Health Center (1987–1988) before training at the Beyoğlu Training and Research Hospital Dermatology and Venereal Diseases Clinic (1989–1992). She then worked as a specialist physician at the Dermatology and Venereal Diseases Hospital (1993) and at Vakıf Gureba Training and Research Hospital (1994–2008), followed by positions at the Hisar Hospital Dermatology Clinic (2008), the Acıbadem Healthcare Services Dermatology Clinic (2009) and the Florence Nightingale Hospital Dermatology Clinic (2010–2022). She is a member of the Dermatology and Venereal Diseases Association, the Türk Dermatopatoloji Association and the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV). Her co-authored publications include papers on cutaneous bronchogenic cysts, giant condyloma acuminatum, malignant eccrine spiradenoma, eruptive widespread Spitz nevi and the efficacy of imiquimod in solitary plaques of mycosis fungoides.

Clinical focus

Dr. Kural’s work spans medical and cosmetic dermatology. On the medical side, she assesses and treats active acne, atopic dermatitis, Behçet’s disease, skin infections and warts. She also evaluates skin lesions, including the assessment of skin cancer and mole removal where clinically appropriate. Excessive sweating treatment is a further area of her practice.

In cosmetic dermatology, Dr. Kural offers botulinum toxin treatment and anti-aging dermatology. Each treatment plan is based on a clinical examination of the skin and a discussion of the patient’s individual concerns, expectations and medical history, so that the options considered are suited to the condition being treated.

Dr. Kural consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who speak other languages.
