Assoc. Prof. Zerrin Boyacı, MD

Assoc. Prof. Zerrin Boyacı, MD is an otorhinolaryngology specialist who practices in the Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) unit at Acibadem Kozyatagi Hospital in İstanbul. With more than 33 years in medicine, her work covers functional and aesthetic nasal surgery, nasal and sinus surgery, throat and adenoid conditions, tonsil surgery, snoring, prominent ear correction, and vertigo and balance disorders.

Dr. Boyacı graduated from Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 1993. She began her career as a general practitioner in the emergency departments of Tirebolu State Hospital (1993–1994) and Giresun State Hospital (1994–1995). From 1996 to 2000 she trained as a research assistant at Kocaeli University Faculty of Medicine Department of Ear, Nose and Throat Diseases, completing her specialty training in 2000. She then worked as a specialist physician at Çamlıca Hayat Hospital ENT Clinic (2000–2002) and continued in private hospital practice as a surgeon from 2002 to 2006. In 2006 she joined Maltepe University Faculty of Medicine ENT Clinic as a specialist physician, becoming assistant professor in 2007 and associate professor in 2016. In 2017 she joined Acıbadem Healthcare Services, where she has since worked as an associate professor in the hospital’s ENT Clinic. She is a member of the KBB Association, the Turkish Medical Association, the Facial Plastic Surgery Association, and the Rinoloji Association.

Clinical focus

A large part of Dr. Boyacı’s practice concerns the nose and sinuses. She evaluates and treats nasal deviation and performs septoplasty, septorhinoplasty, and rhinoplasty, addressing both nasal breathing and nasal shape where appropriate. She uses nasal endoscopy in the assessment of nasal and sinus complaints and performs nasal and sinus surgery when surgical treatment is indicated.

Her practice also includes throat and airway conditions, including pharyngitis, adenoid conditions, tonsil surgery, and snoring. She performs prominent ear correction and assesses patients with vertigo and balance disorders, working to identify the likely cause before discussing treatment options.
