Dr. Kamran Alıyev

Dr. Kamran Alıyev is a thoracic surgeon in the Thoracic Surgery Department at Acibadem Bursa Hospital in Bursa. He cares for patients with lung cancer and other thoracic cancers, pneumothorax, chest wall tumors, diaphragm disorders, and chest wall deformities such as pectus excavatum and pectus carinatum. His practice also includes diagnostic and minimally invasive procedures, among them bronchoscopy, mediastinoscopy, and single-port video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS).

Dr. Alıyev graduated from Azerbaijan Medical University Faculty of Medicine in 2013 and completed his specialty training in thoracic surgery at Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Medicine in 2021. He then worked at Özel Medicabil Hospital from 2021 to 2023 and at Özel Doruk Nilüfer Hospital from 2023 to 2026, before joining Acıbadem Healthcare Services in 2026. Clinical focus

A central part of Dr. Alıyev’s work is the surgical assessment and treatment of lung cancer and other cancers of the chest, including tumors of the chest wall. Diagnostic procedures such as bronchoscopy, which allows the airways to be examined directly, and mediastinoscopy, which is used to evaluate lymph nodes and other structures in the central chest, form part of the evaluation of these patients. Where an operation is considered appropriate, he performs single-port VATS, a minimally invasive approach in which the procedure is carried out through a single small incision. Whether this approach is suitable depends on the individual patient’s diagnosis, imaging findings and general health.

Dr. Alıyev also treats pneumothorax, in which air collects between the lung and the chest wall, as well as disorders of the diaphragm. In addition, he sees patients with the chest wall deformities pectus excavatum and pectus carinatum.
