Ali İlbey Demirel, MD is a General Surgery specialist at Acibadem Kartal Hospital in İstanbul. Dr. Demirel’s clinical practice centers on surgery of the digestive system. This includes the assessment and surgical management of diseases of the liver, pancreas and bile ducts, among them gallbladder and bile duct cancers and cholecystitis, an inflammation of the gallbladder. He also undertakes colorectal surgery, including surgery for colorectal cancer. Where it is appropriate to the patient and the condition, he uses robotic surgical techniques.

How Dr. Demirel works with international patients

Dr. Demirel consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who speak other languages.
