Prof. Dr. A. Taner Usta

Prof. Dr. A. Taner Usta is a specialist in Gynecology & Obstetrics at Acibadem Altunizade Hospital in İstanbul, Türkiye, with more than 34 years in medicine. He is a member of the Turkish Medical Association, Turkish Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery Association, Europian Society of Gynaecologic Endoscopy (ESGE), American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopist (AAGL) and Endometriosis and Adenomyosis Association, among other professional bodies.

Clinical focus

Dr. Usta’s listed areas of expertise center on benign gynecological conditions and minimally invasive surgery. These include endometriosis treatment, pelvic pain and dysfunction, menstrual irregularities, menstrual pain, premenstrual syndrome, ectopic pregnancy, Bartholin cyst and painful intercourse. He also sees women for complaints related to menopause.

His surgical work includes robotic surgery and hysterectomy (removal of the womb). Within urogynecology, his expertise covers urinary incontinence.
