Prof. Cem Demirel, MD

His published work, appearing in journals such as Human Reproduction and Fertility and Sterility, addresses topics including the source of spermatozoa used for intracytoplasmic sperm injection, blastocyst stage transfer, granulosa cells in severe endometriosis, testicular sperm retrieval in non-obstructive azoospermia, and metformin therapy in polycystic ovary syndrome.

Clinical focus

A large part of Dr. Demirel’s work concerns infertility and reproductive medicine. He evaluates and treats couples and individuals with fertility concerns, including women with diminished ovarian reserve, and he offers egg freezing for those who wish to preserve fertility.
