Emre Sarıekiz, MD

Emre Sarıekiz, MD is an Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology specialist at Acibadem International Hospital in İstanbul, where he works within the Orthopedics & Joint Center. He completed his specialist training at the Health Sciences University Tepecik Training and Research Hospital Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology in 2023. From 2023 to 2025 he practiced as a specialist physician at Kars Sarıkamış State Hospital. In 2025 he held positions at Tekirdağ Çorlu State Hospital as a specialist physician, at Ortopediatri Pediatric Orthopedics Clinic, and at Acıbadem Healthcare Services. He is a member of the Turkish Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology (TOTBİD), the Pediatric Orthopedics Society (ÇOD) and the Turkish Medical Association (TTB).

Clinical focus

A central part of Dr. Sarıekiz’s work is pediatric orthopedics. He evaluates and treats children with pediatric spasticity, a condition in which increased muscle tone can affect movement, posture and the alignment of the limbs. He also manages bone cysts in children, which are sometimes identified on imaging performed after an injury or for other reasons. In each case, the assessment takes into account the child’s age, growth and functional needs, and treatment options are discussed with the family on an individual basis.

He also performs pediatric hand surgery and pediatric upper-extremity surgery, addressing conditions of the hand, wrist, forearm, elbow and shoulder in children. In addition, Dr. Sarıekiz treats trauma, including fractures and other injuries to the bones and joints, in line with his training in orthopedics and traumatology. Because pediatric conditions often need follow-up as the child grows, a plan may include monitoring over time rather than immediate intervention, depending on the findings.

How Dr. Sarıekiz works with international patients

Dr. Sarıekiz consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who speak other languages.
