Eren Yılmaz, MD

Eren Yılmaz, MD is an otorhinolaryngology specialist in the Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) unit at Acibadem Taksim Hospital in İstanbul. His subspecialty is head and neck surgery, and his clinical work covers ear, nose and throat conditions as well as surgery for diseases of the head and neck, thyroid and salivary glands. Dr. Yılmaz graduated from İstanbul University İstanbul Faculty of Medicine in 2011. Following a period of compulsory service at Kırklareli Devlet Hospital (2011–2012), he completed specialty training in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at İstanbul University, İstanbul Faculty of Medicine between 2012 and 2017. He then completed compulsory service at Bitlis Tatvan Devlet Hospital (2017–2018), worked at İstanbul Bahçelievler Hizmet Hospital from 2018 to 2020 and held the position of Assistant Professor at İstanbul Gelişim University in 2019. He joined Acıbadem Healthcare Services in 2020. He is an author of peer-reviewed publications on subjects including the surgical anatomy of the recurrent laryngeal nerve, olfactory disorders and olfactory training after COVID-19, imaging in subjective tinnitus, pediatric dizziness and outcomes of supracricoid partial laryngectomy.

Clinical focus

In nasal and sinus disease, Dr. Yılmaz evaluates and treats nasal obstruction and sinus conditions, performing septoplasty, septorhinoplasty and rhinoplasty, as well as endoscopic sinus surgery. He also addresses prominent ears, hearing loss, dizziness and hoarseness, and performs adenoid surgery and tonsil surgery.

Within head and neck surgery, his areas of expertise include head and neck cancers, thyroid surgery and salivary gland diseases. The choice between observation, medical management and surgery depends on the individual diagnosis, the findings of the clinical examination and imaging, and the patient’s overall health, and these considerations are reviewed with each patient before any decision is made.

How Dr. Yılmaz works with international patients

Dr. Yılmaz consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for other languages.
