Clinical focus

These conditions are evaluated in the context of each patient’s history and symptoms, and the options discussed depend on the findings of the clinical examination. Dr. Ertaş also sees women for concerns related to menopause and discusses possible approaches to symptom management according to the individual’s health history.

Her gynecological work includes menstrual irregularities, endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome, ectopic pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases. Women with menstrual irregularities or suspected polycystic ovary syndrome are evaluated with attention to both the presenting symptoms and longer-term health considerations. In obstetrics, Dr. Ertaş cares for women with preeclampsia, and her practice includes epidural delivery. In each case, the approach is based on the patient’s individual situation, and the suitability of any particular treatment can only be determined after a clinical evaluation.

How Dr. Ertaş works with international patients

Dr. Ertaş speaks Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who speak other languages. Before a visit, the Acibadem international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, such as ultrasound, MRI or CT reports, laboratory and pathology results, operative notes and discharge summaries, and arranges appointments and the hospital visit. A first consultation typically covers the patient’s history and symptoms, a review of existing imaging and previous treatments, a clinical examination and a discussion of the options. Video consultation is available for international patients who wish to discuss their situation before traveling or as part of follow-up, keeping in mind that some findings can only be assessed in person.
