Asst. Prof. Hülya Kuşoğlu, MD

Asst. Prof. Hülya Kuşoğlu, MD is a specialist in Infectious Diseases & Clinical Microbiology at Acibadem Fulya Hospital in İstanbul, where she sees patients in the Infectious Diseases Department. She has more than 28 years in medicine and, since 2010, has also held a teaching position as a lecturer at the Acıbadem University Department of Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology.

Dr. Kuşoğlu graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Medicine in 1998 and completed her specialty training in Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology at the same faculty in 2008. Her early clinical experience included work at the Kartal SSK Emergency Department, Pendik SSK Dispensary between 2000 and 2001, followed by a period at the İstanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine Microbiology Virology Laboratory from 2004 to 2005. After completing her specialty training, she worked at the Sivas Numune Hospital Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology Clinic from 2008 to 2010 and joined Acıbadem Healthcare Services in 2010. She is a member of the Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology Specialists Association and the İstanbul Medical Chamber.

Clinical focus

Dr. Kuşoğlu’s clinical work covers the diagnosis and management of infectious diseases in adults. A significant part of her practice involves lower respiratory tract infections, including bronchitis and pneumonia. She also assesses and treats patients with sexually transmitted infections, hepatitis and HIV/AIDS, conditions that often require careful evaluation of laboratory results and planning of longer-term follow-up. Her practice further includes the management of shingles.

Alongside the treatment of established infections, Dr. Kuşoğlu provides preventive services.
