Prof. Hüseyin Bayram, MD

Prof. Hüseyin Bayram, MD is an orthopedic surgery and traumatology specialist at Acibadem Adana Orthopedia Hospital in Adana, where he practices within the Orthopedics & Joint Center. His subspecialty areas include hand surgery, pediatric hand surgery, foot and ankle surgery, pediatric orthopedics, shoulder and elbow surgery, orthopedic oncology, and gait analysis. Dr. Bayram graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1977 and completed his training in orthopedics and traumatology at Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine in 1981. Clinical focus

A substantial part of Dr. Bayram’s work concerns the foot and ankle. He treats clubfoot, flatfoot, and diabetic and Charcot foot conditions, and performs deformity surgery and other forms of foot surgery when conservative measures are not sufficient. In pediatric orthopedics, his areas of expertise include bone cysts in children, spasticity in children, torticollis, and pediatric hand and upper-extremity surgery. Gait analysis, an assessment of a patient’s walking pattern, may be used to support diagnosis and treatment planning in children and adults with movement or alignment problems.

Dr. Bayram also sees adult patients with joint osteoarthritis and with conditions of the shoulder and elbow. Within orthopedic oncology, he evaluates and treats bone tumors. Depending on the diagnosis, care may include guidance on conservative treatment, monitoring, or surgical options when these are clinically appropriate. Treatment decisions are made after a review of the individual patient’s history, imaging, and examination findings, and the potential benefits and limitations of each option are discussed with the patient or the child’s family.

How Dr. Bayram works with international patients

Dr. Bayram consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who speak other languages. Before a visit, the Acibadem international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, such as MRI, CT, X-ray or ultrasound reports, laboratory and pathology results, operative notes, and discharge summaries, and arranges appointments and the hospital visit. A first consultation typically covers the patient’s history and symptoms, a review of existing imaging and previous treatments, a clinical examination, and a discussion of the available options. For patients who are not yet able to travel, a video consultation with Dr. Bayram can be arranged so that existing findings can be reviewed and possible next steps discussed before any decision about treatment is made.
