Jülide Çeldir Emre, MD

Clinical focus

Dr. Emre’s clinical work centers on a range of respiratory conditions. She evaluates and manages patients with asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, including long-term follow-up of airway disease and, where relevant, its allergic and immunological components. She also treats lower respiratory tract infections and pneumonia, and assesses patients with suspected or confirmed pulmonary embolism. Lung nodules identified on imaging are another area of her practice; she reviews existing scans and advises on further evaluation and follow-up where appropriate.

Her diagnostic and procedural work includes bronchoscopy for examination of the airways and polysomnography (sleep test) for the assessment of sleep-related breathing disorders. Dr. Emre also provides respiratory therapy and rehabilitation for patients with chronic lung conditions. How Dr. Emre works with international patients

Dr. Emre consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who speak other languages. Before a visit, the international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, such as CT, X-ray or MRI reports, laboratory and pathology results, operative notes and discharge summaries, and arranges appointments and the hospital visit. A first consultation typically covers the patient’s history and symptoms, a review of existing imaging and previous treatments, a clinical examination and a discussion of the options. Video consultation is available for international patients and may be used for an initial review of a case or for follow-up after treatment, depending on the clinical situation.
