Murat Dutipek, MD

Murat Dutipek, MD is an otorhinolaryngology specialist at Acibadem Bodrum Hospital in Muğla, where he works in the Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) unit. Clinical focus

In ear and balance care, Dr. Dutipek assesses hearing loss, including pediatric hearing loss, and evaluates candidates for cochlear implants. He also sees patients with dizziness, where the first step is to clarify the likely cause before vertigo treatment is discussed. His nasal and sinus work includes anosmia (loss of smell), endoscopic sinus surgery for sinus conditions, and rhinoplasty. In the throat, he performs tonsillectomy and evaluates dysphagia, or swallowing difficulty, for which dysphagia treatment is planned according to the underlying cause. Snoring and other sleep-related complaints are assessed within his sleep disorders practice.

Head and neck surgery is a subspecialty focus. Dr. Dutipek is involved in the diagnosis and surgical management of head and neck cancers, including oral cancer and tongue cancer, and neck cancer treatment. Whether surgery is appropriate is determined after clinical examination and review of imaging and pathology, and the treatment plan is adapted to the individual findings and the patient’s general condition.

How Dr. Dutipek works with international patients

Dr. Dutipek consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for other languages. Before a visit, the hospital’s international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, for example MRI, CT, X-ray or ultrasound reports, laboratory and pathology results, operative notes and discharge summaries, arranges appointments and organizes the hospital visit.
