Assoc. Prof. Murat Saylık, MD

Assoc. Prof. Murat Saylık, MD is an orthopedic surgeon and traumatologist practicing in the Orthopedics & Joint Center at Acibadem Bursa Hospital in Bursa. He has more than 30 years in medicine. His subspecialty areas are orthopedic oncology, foot and ankle surgery, hip and knee replacement surgery, shoulder and elbow surgery, and robotic surgery.

Dr. Saylık graduated from Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine in 1996 and completed his Orthopedics and Traumatology training at Taksim Training and Research Hospital in 2002. Between 2019 and 2021 he completed a non-thesis master’s degree in healthcare management at İstinye University / Institute of Social Sciences, and he was awarded the title of Associate Professor in 2023. Before joining Acıbadem Healthcare Services in 2023, he worked at Osmaniye Devlet Hospital (2002–2006), Özel Yenihayat Hospital (2006–2008), Özel Bahar Hospital (2009–2015), Özel Rentıp Hospital (2014–2015) and Medikalpark Hospital (2015–2023), where he served as Chief Physician from 2017 to 2021. He also held hospital leadership positions at Osmaniye Devlet Hospital and Özel Yenihayat Hospital. From 2018 to 2023 he was a lecturer at İSÜ Faculty of Health Sciences and in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation at Mudanya University. He is a member of the Turkish Orthopedics and Traumatology Association, the Turkish Sports Injuries Arthroscopy and Knee Surgery Association, the Shoulder and Elbow Surgery Association, the Hip Joint Preserving Surgery Association and the Artroplasti Association. His published work includes studies on unicompartmental knee arthroplasty, Baker’s cyst treatment, posterior ankle arthroscopy and patellofemoral instability, as well as case reports in orthopedic oncology and trauma.

Clinical focus

Dr. Saylık evaluates and treats knee injuries such as meniscus tears and cruciate ligament tears, and performs hip and knee replacement surgery, including robotic-assisted approaches where appropriate. In the field of orthopedic oncology, his work covers the assessment and surgical management of bone tumors.

His practice also includes foot and ankle surgery for conditions such as flatfoot, clubfoot and diabetic and Charcot foot, as well as shoulder and elbow surgery and pediatric hand and upper extremity surgery. Treatment decisions are made after a review of each patient’s history, imaging and previous treatments.
