Prof. Mustafa Seyhan, MD

Prof. Mustafa Seyhan, MD is a specialist in Orthopedic Surgery & Traumatology at Acibadem Altunizade Hospital in İstanbul, where he practices within the Orthopedics & Joint Center. Dr. Seyhan graduated from Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 1986. He worked as a general practitioner at Çınar Health Center (1986–1988) and at Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital (1988–1989), and then as a resident physician in the İstanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine Department of Forensic Medicine (1989–1992). He completed his military service at Ankara GATA Support Troops Command in 1993. His orthopedic training took place at the Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital Orthopedics and Traumatology Clinic, first as a resident physician (1992–1997) and then as a specialist physician (1997–1999), with his specialty training completed in 1998. He has been with Acıbadem Healthcare Services since 2005. He is a member of the Turkish Association of Orthopedics and Traumatology Association (TOTBİD), its Orthopedic Trauma Branch, the Turkish Orthopedics and Traumatology Education Commission (TOTEK), the AO Foundation, the AO Graduates Association, the Küntscher Society, the Hip Joint Preservation Surgery Association, and the Hip and Knee Arthroplasty Association. His published research addresses topics such as intramedullary nailing of tibial and femoral fractures, syndesmosis injuries in ankle fractures, trochanteric fractures, proximal humerus fractures, and distal clavicle fractures.

Clinical focus

Dr. Seyhan’s clinical work covers a broad range of orthopedic and trauma conditions in children and adults. In pediatric orthopedics, this includes pediatric hand and upper extremity surgery, deformity surgery, and limb lengthening. He also works in advanced limb reconstruction and in minimally invasive trauma surgery, an area reflected in his publications on fracture fixation techniques.

For adult joint conditions, his practice includes the assessment and treatment of osteoarthritis and hip and knee replacement surgery, including robotic surgery. He treats shoulder and elbow conditions, including elbow surgery, as well as foot and ankle conditions. His work in sports traumatology includes knee injuries and muscle tear treatment. How Dr. Seyhan works with international patients

Dr. Seyhan consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for other languages.
